You lick up and swallow all the worlds on every side with Your flaming mouths, flooding the entire universe with Your brilliance and scorching it with Your fierce rays, O Viṣṇu.
Arjuna's vision reaches its most intense pitch here — the entire cosmos is being consumed and simultaneously blazing with the divine radiance. The address 'Viṣṇu' acknowledges he is witnessing the all-pervading cosmic power.
