Having released ego, force, arrogance, desire, anger, and possessiveness — free from the sense of 'mine,' peaceful — one becomes fit for union with Brahman.
The six relinquishments culminate in nirmamatā — the dissolution of the sense of 'mine' — from which śānti arises naturally. One does not become Brahman through acquisition but through the falling away of everything that obscured what was always already present.
