Chapter XVIII · Śloka 56
Śrī Kṛṣṇa uvāca
सर्वकर्माण्यपि सदा कुर्वाणो मद्व्यपाश्रयः ।
मत्प्रसादादवाप्नोति शाश्वतं पदमव्ययम् ॥

sarva-karmāṇy api sadā kurvāṇo mad-vyapāśrayaḥ |
mat-prasādād avāpnoti śāśvataṃ padam avyayam ||
mat-prasādād avāpnoti śāśvataṃ padam avyayam ||
Taking refuge in Me, one who performs all actions at all times, by My grace attains the eternal, imperishable abode.
Action performed in full surrender to the Lord is not binding; by His grace it becomes the very means of liberation. The eternal abode is not a place but the state of union with the Divine.
