Chapter VII · Śloka 29
Śrī Kṛṣṇa uvāca
जरामरणमोक्षाय मामाश्रित्य यतन्ति ये ।
ते ब्रह्म तद्विदुः कृत्स्नमध्यात्मं कर्म चाखिलम् ॥
ते ब्रह्म तद्विदुः कृत्स्नमध्यात्मं कर्म चाखिलम् ॥
jarā-maraṇa-mokṣāya mām āśritya yatanti ye |
te brahma tad viduḥ kṛtsnam adhyātmaṃ karma cākhilam ||
te brahma tad viduḥ kṛtsnam adhyātmaṃ karma cākhilam ||
Those who strive for liberation from old age and death, taking refuge in Me, know that Brahman in full, the adhyātma (the Self), and the entirety of karma.
The one who sincerely seeks liberation from the cycle of jarā (old age) and maraṇa (death) by surrendering to the Supreme arrives at a comprehensive understanding: Brahman as the ultimate reality, adhyātma as the Self in its fullness, and the whole range of action and its fruits. Surrender becomes the key to total knowledge.
