Chapter IX · Śloka 4
मया ततमिदं सर्वं जगदव्यक्तमूर्तिना ।
मत्स्थानि सर्वभूतानि न चाहं तेष्ववस्थितः ॥
mayā tatam idaṃ sarvaṃ jagad avyakta-mūrtinā |
mat-sthāni sarva-bhūtāni na cāhaṃ teṣv avasthitaḥ ||
By Me, in My unmanifest form, all this universe is pervaded. All beings rest in Me, yet I do not dwell in them.
The paradox of divine immanence and transcendence: the entire cosmos is sustained within Kṛṣṇa, yet He is not contained by or dependent on any of it. This non-reciprocal relationship is the mystery of the Absolute.
