Chapter X · Śloka 39
यच्चापि सर्वभूतानां बीजं तदहमर्जुन ।
न तदस्ति विना यत्स्यान्मया भूतं चराचरम् ॥
न तदस्ति विना यत्स्यान्मया भूतं चराचरम् ॥
yac cāpi sarva-bhūtānāṃ bījaṃ tad aham arjuna |
na tad asti vinā yat syān mayā bhūtaṃ carācaram ||
na tad asti vinā yat syān mayā bhūtaṃ carācaram ||
And whatever is the seed of all beings, that also am I, O Arjuna. There is no being — moving or unmoving — that can exist without Me.
Having enumerated particular manifestations, the Lord now makes a universal declaration: He is the primordial seed (bīja) of all existence. This verse is the philosophical climax of the vibhūti enumeration, asserting that His immanence is total and without exception.
