Chapter X · Śloka 42
अथवा बहुनैतेन किं ज्ञातेन तवार्जुन ।
विष्टभ्याहमिदं कृत्स्नमेकांशेन स्थितो जगत् ॥

athavā bahunaitena kiṃ jñātena tavārjuna |
viṣṭabhyāham idaṃ kṛtsnam ekāṃśena sthito jagat ||
viṣṭabhyāham idaṃ kṛtsnam ekāṃśena sthito jagat ||
But what need have you for this detailed knowledge, O Arjuna? I sustain this entire universe with but a single fragment (ekāṃśa) of Myself, and yet I stand apart.
The Lord concludes the chapter with the most breathtaking declaration: the totality of manifest existence — with all its billions of beings and vibhūtis — is sustained by a single portion of His infinite being, while He remains beyond it all, untouched and transcendent.
