Chapter X · Śloka 5
अहिंसा समता तुष्टिस्तपो दानं यशोऽयशः |
भवन्ति भावा भूतानां मत्त एव पृथग्विधाः ||
ahiṃsā samatā tuṣṭis tapo dānaṃ yaśo 'yaśaḥ |
bhavanti bhāvā bhūtānāṃ matta eva pṛthag-vidhāḥ ||
Non-violence, equanimity, contentment, austerity, charity, fame and infamy — all these various states of beings arise from Me alone.
Even apparent opposites — fame and infamy, pleasure and pain, existence and nonexistence — issue from the same divine source. Reality's entire spectrum is Krishna's self-expression.
