Chapter X · Śloka 8
अहं सर्वस्य प्रभवो मत्तः सर्वं प्रवर्तते |
इति मत्वा भजन्ते मां बुधा भावसमन्विताः ||
इति मत्वा भजन्ते मां बुधा भावसमन्विताः ||
ahaṃ sarvasya prabhavo mattaḥ sarvaṃ pravartate |
iti matvā bhajante māṃ budhā bhāva-samanvitāḥ ||
iti matvā bhajante māṃ budhā bhāva-samanvitāḥ ||
I am the source of all; from Me everything proceeds. Knowing this, the wise worship Me with deep devotion.
This is the keynote of the chapter: absolute ontological priority. Krishna is not among sources — He is the source of all sources. The wise, grasping this, turn naturally to devotion rather than argument.
