Chapter XI · Śloka 42
यच्चावहासार्थमसत्कृतोऽसि
विहारशय्यासनभोजनेषु |
एकोऽथवाप्यच्युत तत्समक्षं
तत्क्षामये त्वामहमप्रमेयम् ||

तत्क्षामये त्वामहमप्रमेयम् ||
yac cāvahāsārtham asatkṛto 'si
vihāra-śayyāsana-bhojanеṣu |
eko 'thavāpy acyuta tat-samakṣaṃ
tat kṣāmaye tvām aham aprameyam ||
vihāra-śayyāsana-bhojanеṣu |
eko 'thavāpy acyuta tat-samakṣaṃ
tat kṣāmaye tvām aham aprameyam ||
And for whatever disrespect was shown to You in jest while playing, resting, sitting, or eating — whether alone or before others — O Acyuta, I implore Your forgiveness for all those unlimited offenses.
Arjuna lists the intimate contexts of their friendship — play, sleep, meals, public moments — now seen in the light of who Krishna truly is. He calls him 'Acyuta,' the Infallible, even while begging forgiveness: the intimacy and the awe coexist.
