Chapter XI · Śloka 5
Śrī Kṛṣṇa uvāca
श्रीभगवानुवाच
पश्य मे पार्थ रूपाणि शतशोऽथ सहस्रशः ।
नानाविधानि दिव्यानि नानावर्णाकृतीनि च ॥
śrī-bhagavān uvāca
paśya me pārtha rūpāṇi śataśo 'tha sahasraśaḥ ।
nānā-vidhāni divyāni nānā-varṇākṛtīni ca ॥
The Blessed Lord said: Behold, O Pārtha, My forms by the hundreds and by the thousands — multifarious, divine, of many colors and shapes.
Kṛṣṇa grants the vision with a commanding "Behold!", underscoring that the revelation is an act of divine will, not a natural occurrence. The countless forms signify that every phenomenon in the universe is a facet of His being.
