Chapter XIV · Śloka 2
इदं ज्ञानमुपाश्रित्य मम साधर्म्यमागताः ।
सर्गेऽपि नोपजायन्ते प्रलये न व्यथन्ति च ॥
सर्गेऽपि नोपजायन्ते प्रलये न व्यथन्ति च ॥
idaṃ jñānam upāśritya mama sādharmyam āgatāḥ |
sarge 'pi nopajāyante pralaye na vyathanti ca ||
sarge 'pi nopajāyante pralaye na vyathanti ca ||
Having taken refuge in this knowledge and attained to My own nature, they are not born again at the time of creation, nor are they disturbed at the time of dissolution.
Liberation means sharing in the Lord's own nature — beyond the cycles of cosmic creation and dissolution. Such a one is neither born again when the universe manifests, nor troubled when it dissolves.
