Chapter XVI · Śloka 10
काममाश्रित्य दुष्पूरं दम्भमानमदान्विताः ।
मोहाद्गृहीत्वासद्ग्राहान्प्रवर्तन्तेऽशुचिव्रताः ॥

kāmam āśritya duṣpūraṃ dambha-māna-madānvitāḥ |
mohād gṛhītvāsad-grāhān pravartante 'śuci-vratāḥ ||

Resorting to insatiable desire, full of hypocrisy, pride, and arrogance, holding false views through delusion, they engage in impure resolves.
Kāma (desire) here means insatiable craving — the adjective duṣpūra signals a desire that grows with feeding and can never be satisfied. Combined with delusion (moha), pride, and false views, such persons make vows and undertake actions that are ritually and morally impure.
