Chapter XVIII · Śloka 46
यतः प्रवृत्तिर्भूतानां येन सर्वमिदं ततम् |
स्वकर्मणा तमभ्यर्च्य सिद्धिं विन्दति मानवः ||
स्वकर्मणा तमभ्यर्च्य सिद्धिं विन्दति मानवः ||
yataḥ pravṛttir bhūtānāṃ yena sarvam idaṃ tatam |
sva-karmaṇā tam abhyarcya siddhiṃ vindati mānavaḥ ||
sva-karmaṇā tam abhyarcya siddhiṃ vindati mānavaḥ ||
By worshipping through his own duty the One from whom all beings proceed and by whom all this is pervaded, a person attains perfection.
The decisive reframe: one's work, however humble or martial or commercial, becomes worship when offered to the source of all beings who pervades all things. This is not a compromise between work and spirituality but the dissolution of any boundary between them.
