Chapter XVIII · Śloka 70
adhyeṣyate ca ya imaṃ dharmyaṃ saṃvādam āvayoḥ |
jñāna-yajñena tenāham iṣṭaḥ syām iti me matiḥ ||
jñāna-yajñena tenāham iṣṭaḥ syām iti me matiḥ ||
Whoever shall study this sacred dialogue of ours — by that person I shall have been worshipped through the sacrifice of knowledge; such is My conviction.
The dialogue itself is a yajña: to read, study, and contemplate the Gita is an act of worship. Krishna asserts that the sincere student of this conversation offers the highest sacrifice — the sacrifice of knowledge.
