Chapter XVIII · Śloka 71
श्रद्धावाननसूयश्च शृणुयादपि यो नरः ।
सोऽपि मुक्तः शुभाँल्लोकान्प्राप्नुयात्पुण्यकर्मणाम् ॥
śraddhāvān anasūyaś ca śṛṇuyād api yo naraḥ |
so'pi muktaḥ śubhāṃl lokān prāpnuyāt puṇya-karmaṇām ||
Even the person who simply listens to this with faith and without malice — that one too, liberated, will attain the blessed worlds of those who perform meritorious deeds.
Even hearing alone, done with faith and without the poison of envy, is sufficient for liberation. The Gita's grace extends to the listener as much as the student, requiring only openness and goodwill.
