Chapter III · Śloka 31
ये मे मतमिदं नित्यमनुतिष्ठन्ति मानवाः ।
श्रद्धावन्तोऽनसूयन्तो मुच्यन्ते तेऽपि कर्मभिः ॥
श्रद्धावन्तोऽनसूयन्तो मुच्यन्ते तेऽपि कर्मभिः ॥
ye me matam idaṃ nityam anutiṣṭhanti mānavāḥ |
śraddhāvanto 'nasūyanto mucyante te 'pi karmabhiḥ ||
śraddhāvanto 'nasūyanto mucyante te 'pi karmabhiḥ ||
Those persons who constantly follow this teaching of Mine with faith and without carping are also freed from actions.
Faith (śraddhā) and freedom from envy toward the teaching and the teacher are the two qualifications necessary for this path to bear fruit. Even those who cannot yet realise the Self intellectually can attain liberation by faithful observance of this karma-yoga.
