Chapter IV · Śloka 23
गतसङ्गस्य मुक्तस्य ज्ञानावस्थितचेतसः |
यज्ञायाचरतः कर्म समग्रं प्रविलीयते ||

gata-saṅgasya muktasya jñānāvasthita-cetasaḥ |
yajñāyācarataḥ karma samagraṃ pravilīyate ||

For one who is free from attachment, who is liberated, whose mind is established in knowledge, and who acts for sacrifice alone — all karma dissolves entirely.
Action performed as sacrifice, with a mind rooted in wisdom and no personal clinging, leaves no karmic residue. The acts are complete, but they do not bind — like a fire that burns wood to ash and leaves nothing behind.
