Chapter IV · Śloka 38
न हि ज्ञानेन सदृशं पवित्रमिह विद्यते |
तत्स्वयं योगसंसिद्धः कालेनात्मनि विन्दति ||
तत्स्वयं योगसंसिद्धः कालेनात्मनि विन्दति ||
na hi jñānena sadṛśaṃ pavitram iha vidyate |
tat svayaṃ yoga-saṃsiddhaḥ kālenātmani vindati ||
tat svayaṃ yoga-saṃsiddhaḥ kālenātmani vindati ||
Truly, there is nothing in this world as purifying as knowledge. One who is perfected in yoga finds it in oneself in time.
Knowledge is declared the supreme purifier — above ritual, above austerity, above any outer act. And crucially, it is found within: the one who perfects their yoga discovers that the light was always already present in the depths of the self.
