Chapter V · Śloka 24
Śrī Kṛṣṇa uvāca
योऽन्तःसुखोऽन्तरारामस्तथान्तर्ज्योतिरेव यः |
स योगी ब्रह्मनिर्वाणं ब्रह्मभूतोऽधिगच्छति ||
स योगी ब्रह्मनिर्वाणं ब्रह्मभूतोऽधिगच्छति ||
yo 'ntaḥ-sukho 'ntar-ārāmas tathāntar-jyotir eva yaḥ |
sa yogī brahma-nirvāṇaṃ brahma-bhūto 'dhigacchati ||
sa yogī brahma-nirvāṇaṃ brahma-bhūto 'dhigacchati ||
One whose happiness is within, whose delight is within, whose light is only within — that yogi, having become Brahman, attains the peace of Brahman.
Three qualities — inner happiness, inner delight, inner light — point to one reality: the self-sufficient soul who has found the inexhaustible source within. Such a one is already Brahman in experience; liberation is not a future attainment but the recognition of what already is.
