Śrī Kṛṣṇa uvāca
सांख्ययोगौ पृथग्बालाः प्रवदन्ति न पण्डिताः |
एकमप्यास्थितः सम्यगुभयोर्विन्दते फलम् ||
एकमप्यास्थितः सम्यगुभयोर्विन्दते फलम् ||
sāṃkhya-yogau pṛthag bālāḥ pravadanti na paṇḍitāḥ |
ekam apy āsthitaḥ samyag ubhayor vindate phalam ||
ekam apy āsthitaḥ samyag ubhayor vindate phalam ||
Only the childish say that Sānkhya and yoga are different — not the learned. One who is properly established in even one of them obtains the fruits of both.
The apparent conflict between philosophy and practice, between knowledge and action, dissolves upon realization. They are not rival schools but two expressions of the same truth; the person who fully lives either one arrives at the destination of both.
