O Kṛṣṇa, one who has faith but lacks striving, whose mind has strayed from yoga without attaining its perfection — what fate does he meet?
Arjuna raises the anxiety of the sincere but incomplete practitioner — someone whose aspiration is genuine but whose effort falls short of full realisation. The question is deeply compassionate: it is asked not for the hardened sceptic but for the earnest seeker who fears failure.
