Chapter VII · Śloka 15
Śrī Kṛṣṇa uvāca
न मां दुष्कृतिनो मूढाः प्रपद्यन्ते नराधमाः ।
मायायापहृतज्ञाना आसुरं भावमाश्रिताः ॥
na māṃ duṣkṛtino mūḍhāḥ prapadyante narādhamāḥ |
māyayāpahṛta-jñānā āsuraṃ bhāvam āśritāḥ ||
The foolish evildoers, the lowest of men whose knowledge is stolen by māyā and who cling to the demonic nature, do not take refuge in Me.
Four types who do not surrender are identified: the wicked (duṣkṛtino), the deluded (mūḍhāḥ), the basest of men (narādhamāḥ), and those whose discrimination has been robbed by māyā. The āsura-bhāva (demonic disposition) is ultimately a refusal to acknowledge any reality beyond the ego.
