Chapter VIII · Śloka 10
प्रयाणकाले मनसाचलेन
भक्त्या युक्तो योगबलेन चैव ।
भ्रुवोर्मध्ये प्राणमावेश्य सम्यक्
स तं परं पुरुषमुपैति दिव्यम् ॥
भक्त्या युक्तो योगबलेन चैव ।
भ्रुवोर्मध्ये प्राणमावेश्य सम्यक्
स तं परं पुरुषमुपैति दिव्यम् ॥
prayāṇa-kāle manasācalena
bhaktyā yukto yoga-balena caiva |
bhruvor madhye prāṇam āveśya samyak
sa taṃ paraṃ puruṣam upaiti divyam ||
bhaktyā yukto yoga-balena caiva |
bhruvor madhye prāṇam āveśya samyak
sa taṃ paraṃ puruṣam upaiti divyam ||
At the time of death, with steady mind, united with devotion and the power of yoga, drawing the prāṇa properly between the eyebrows, one reaches that Supreme Divine Puruṣa.
This verse (completing the thought begun in v.9) describes the yogic technique at death: a still mind saturated with bhakti, the life-force concentrated at the ājñā-cakra between the brows, guarantees union with the Supreme.
