Chapter IX · Śloka 11
अवजानन्ति मां मूढा मानुषीं तनुमाश्रितम् ।
परं भावमजानन्तो मम भूतमहेश्वरम् ॥
परं भावमजानन्तो मम भूतमहेश्वरम् ॥
avajānanti māṃ mūḍhā mānuṣīṃ tanum āśritam |
paraṃ bhāvam ajānanto mama bhūta-maheśvaram ||
paraṃ bhāvam ajānanto mama bhūta-maheśvaram ||
Fools disregard Me when I dwell in human form, not knowing My supreme nature as the great Lord of all beings.
The incarnation conceals divinity to those whose vision is limited to the surface. Those who see only a human body in Kṛṣṇa miss the sovereign presence that upholds all existence.
