Chapter IX · Śloka 17
पिताहमस्य जगतो माता धाता पितामहः ।
वेद्यं पवित्रमोंकार ऋक्साम यजुरेव च ॥

vedyaṃ pavitram oṃkāra ṛk sāma yajur eva ca ||
I am the father of this world, the mother, the sustainer, the grandfather; I am the object of knowledge, the purifier, the syllable Oṃ, and also the Ṛg, Sāma, and Yajur Vedas.
Kṛṣṇa claims every foundational role simultaneously: cosmic parent, sustainer, the sacred syllable, and the entire scriptural revelation. Nothing stands outside Him as an independent authority.
