Chapter IX · Śloka 18
गतिर्भर्ता प्रभुः साक्षी निवासः शरणं सुहृत् ।
प्रभवः प्रलयः स्थानं निधानं बीजमव्ययम् ॥

gatir bhartā prabhuḥ sākṣī nivāsaḥ śaraṇaṃ suhṛt |
prabhavaḥ pralayaḥ sthānaṃ nidhānaṃ bījam avyayam ||
prabhavaḥ pralayaḥ sthānaṃ nidhānaṃ bījam avyayam ||
I am the goal, the sustainer, the Lord, the witness, the abode, the refuge, the dear friend; I am the origin and the dissolution, the foundation, the treasure-house, and the imperishable seed.
Ten roles in two verses — cosmic parent, goal, witness, refuge, friend, origin, and seed — dissolve every boundary between the seeker and the sought. The Lord is the entire arc from beginning to end.
