Chapter X · Śloka 23
रुद्राणां शङ्करश्चास्मि वित्तेशो यक्षरक्षसाम् ।
वसूनां पावकश्चास्मि मेरुः शिखरिणामहम् ॥

rudrāṇāṃ śaṅkaraś cāsmi vitteśo yakṣa-rakṣasām |
vasūnāṃ pāvakaś cāsmi meruḥ śikhariṇām aham ||
vasūnāṃ pāvakaś cāsmi meruḥ śikhariṇām aham ||
Among the Rudras I am Śaṅkara (Śiva); among the Yakṣas and Rākṣasas I am Kubera (the lord of wealth); among the Vasus I am Agni (fire); and among mountains I am Meru.
Śaṅkara, the auspicious one, stands supreme among the eleven Rudras, while Kubera lords over all semi-divine treasure-keepers. Mount Meru, the cosmic axis of Hindu cosmology, towers over all other peaks as the center of the universe.
