Chapter XI · Śloka 2
भवाप्ययौ हि भूतानां श्रुतौ विस्तरशो मया ।
त्वत्तः कमलपत्राक्ष माहात्म्यमपि चाव्ययम् ॥
bhavāpyayau hi bhūtānāṁ śrutau vistaraśo mayā ।
tvattaḥ kamala-patrākṣa māhātmyam api cāvyayam ॥
The origin and dissolution of beings have been heard by me in full detail from You, O lotus-eyed one, as well as Your inexhaustible greatness.
Arjuna recalls Kṛṣṇa's exposition on creation and dissolution in earlier chapters, acknowledging the limitless scope of His divine glory. The epithet kamala-patrākṣa (lotus-eyed) evokes Kṛṣṇa's serene, all-seeing nature.
