Chapter XI · Śloka 3
एवमेतद्यथात्थ त्वमात्मानं परमेश्वर ।
द्रष्टुमिच्छामि ते रूपमैश्वरं पुरुषोत्तम ॥

evam etad yathāttha tvam ātmānaṁ parameśvara ।
draṣṭum icchāmi te rūpam aiśvaraṁ puruṣottama ॥
draṣṭum icchāmi te rūpam aiśvaraṁ puruṣottama ॥
Just as You have described Yourself, O Supreme Lord, I desire to behold Your divine form, O Puruṣottama (Supreme Person).
Having heard the verbal description, Arjuna now yearns for direct perception of the cosmic form — testimony to the human hunger for experiential knowledge beyond intellectual understanding. He addresses Kṛṣṇa as Puruṣottama, the highest of all persons.
