Chapter XI · Śloka 8
न तु मां शक्यसे द्रष्टुमनेनैव स्वचक्षुषा ।
दिव्यं ददामि ते चक्षुः पश्य मे योगमैश्वरम् ॥
na tu māṁ śakyase draṣṭum anenaiva sva-cakṣuṣā ।
divyaṁ dadāmi te cakṣuḥ paśya me yogam aiśvaram ॥
But you are not able to behold Me with your own eye alone; I give you the divine eye — behold My sovereign yoga!
Physical sight cannot perceive the infinite; Kṛṣṇa therefore grants Arjuna the divine eye (divya-cakṣu), the eye of wisdom. This gift underscores that the cosmic vision is an act of pure grace — it cannot be achieved through effort alone.
