Chapter XII · Śloka 10
अभ्यासेऽप्यसमर्थोऽसि मत्कर्मपरमो भव ।
मदर्थमपि कर्माणि कुर्वन्सिद्धिमवाप्स्यसि ॥
मदर्थमपि कर्माणि कुर्वन्सिद्धिमवाप्स्यसि ॥
abhyāse 'py asamartho 'si mat-karma-paramo bhava |
mad-artham api karmāṇi kurvan siddhim avāpsyasi ||
mad-artham api karmāṇi kurvan siddhim avāpsyasi ||
If you are incapable even of practice, then be devoted to acting for My sake. Even performing actions for My sake, you will attain perfection.
The second concession descends to an even more accessible rung: if sustained meditation is impossible, simply dedicate every action to Krishna. Karma performed as service to the Lord purifies the agent and leads to the same goal.
