Arjuna asks which is superior — the path of personal devotion to the divine form, or the path of meditation on the formless Absolute. Krishna gives a nuanced answer: both paths lead to the same destination, but personal devotion is easier for embodied beings. The chapter ends with one of the Gita's most tender portraits of the beloved devotee.
