Chapter XII · Śloka 8
मय्येव मन आधत्स्व मयि बुद्धिं निवेशय ।
निवसिष्यसि मय्येव अत ऊर्ध्वं न संशयः ॥
निवसिष्यसि मय्येव अत ऊर्ध्वं न संशयः ॥
mayy eva mana ādhatsva mayi buddhiṃ niveśaya |
nivasiṣyasi mayy eva ata ūrdhvaṃ na saṃśayaḥ ||
nivasiṣyasi mayy eva ata ūrdhvaṃ na saṃśayaḥ ||
Fix your mind on Me alone, place your intellect in Me — thereafter you will dwell in Me alone. There is no doubt about this.
Krishna gives the most direct instruction of the chapter: place both the emotive mind (manas) and the discriminative intellect (buddhi) in him, and liberation is guaranteed. The double assertion 'no doubt' seals the promise.
