avibhaktaṃ ca bhūteṣu vibhaktam iva ca sthitam |
bhūta-bhartṛ ca taj jñeyaṃ grasiṣṇu prabhaviṣṇu ca ||
Undivided yet appearing as if divided among beings; that which is to be known is the supporter of beings and also their devourer and creator.
Like space that seems divided by the walls of rooms yet remains one, Brahman appears individuated as jīvas while remaining undivided. It is the source from which all arise, the sustainer by which all live, and the destroyer into which all return.
