Chapter XIII · Śloka 28
समं सर्वेषु भूतेषु तिष्ठन्तं परमेश्वरम् ।
विनश्यत्स्वविनश्यन्तं यः पश्यति स पश्यति ॥
विनश्यत्स्वविनश्यन्तं यः पश्यति स पश्यति ॥
samaṃ sarveṣu bhūteṣu tiṣṭhantaṃ parameśvaram |
vinaśyatsv avinaśyantaṃ yaḥ paśyati sa paśyati ||
vinaśyatsv avinaśyantaṃ yaḥ paśyati sa paśyati ||
One who sees the supreme Lord dwelling equally in all beings, the imperishable within the perishing — that one truly sees.
True vision (darśana) is not sense-perception but the spiritual insight that recognizes the same imperishable Ātman equally present in all beings. The one who sees the deathless Self in every mortal form has attained the highest wisdom.
