न रूपमस्येह तथोपलभ्यते
नान्तो न चादिर्न च सम्प्रतिष्ठा ।
अश्वत्थमेनं सुविरूढमूलम्
असङ्गशस्त्रेण दृढेन छित्त्वा ॥
नान्तो न चादिर्न च सम्प्रतिष्ठा ।
अश्वत्थमेनं सुविरूढमूलम्
असङ्गशस्त्रेण दृढेन छित्त्वा ॥
na rūpam asyeha tathopalabhyate
nānto na cādir na ca sampratiṣṭhā |
aśvattham enaṃ su-virūḍha-mūlam
asaṅga-śastreṇa dṛḍhena chittvā ||
nānto na cādir na ca sampratiṣṭhā |
aśvattham enaṃ su-virūḍha-mūlam
asaṅga-śastreṇa dṛḍhena chittvā ||
Its true form is not perceived here, nor its end, beginning, or foundation. Having cut down this deeply rooted Aśvattha tree with the strong axe of non-attachment —
The tree of worldly existence has no discernible origin or end in the relative realm; its true nature remains hidden to those entangled in it. The sole means of liberation is the sharp axe of vairāgya, non-attachment, wielded with resolute determination.
