The Yoga of the Supreme Person
The chapter of the sacred fig tree — an image of the world, roots upward, branches below, leaves of Vedic hymns. Cut it down with the axe of detachment and seek the source. Krishna describes the fallible, the infallible, and the supreme — transcending both — and calls himself the Puruṣottama, the uttermost Person, known by scripture and realized by devotion.
