Chapter II · Śloka 64
रागद्वेषवियुक्तैस्तु विषयानिन्द्रियैश्चरन् |
आत्मवश्यैर्विधेयात्मा प्रसादमधिगच्छति ||
rāga-dveṣa-viyuktais tu viṣayān indriyaiś caran |
ātma-vaśyair vidheyātmā prasādam adhigacchati ||
But one who moves among sense objects with senses free from attraction and repulsion, self-controlled and self-disciplined, attains serenity.
The counter-path to the cascade: the one who has renounced rāga and dveṣa (liking and disliking) can engage the world without being pulled into its currents. Prasāda — serenity, grace — is the positive fruit of this mastery.
