Chapter VI · Śloka 41
प्राप्य पुण्यकृतां लोकानुषित्वा शाश्वतीः समाः ।
शुचीनां श्रीमतां गेहे योगभ्रष्टोऽभिजायते ॥
शुचीनां श्रीमतां गेहे योगभ्रष्टोऽभिजायते ॥
prāpya puṇya-kṛtāṃ lokān
uṣitvā śāśvatīḥ samāḥ |
śucīnāṃ śrīmatāṃ gehe
yoga-bhraṣṭo 'bhijāyate ||

śucīnāṃ śrīmatāṃ gehe
yoga-bhraṣṭo 'bhijāyate ||
Having reached the worlds of the righteous and dwelling there for immeasurable years, the one who has fallen from yoga is reborn in the home of the pure and prosperous.
The fallen yogi first exhausts accumulated merit in celestial realms — a prolonged period of rest and refinement — before returning to earth in a privileged birth that will foster renewed spiritual practice. Nothing in the journey is lost.
