Chapter VI · Śloka 43
तत्र तं बुद्धिसंयोगं लभते पौर्वदेहिकम् ।
यतते च ततो भूयः संसिद्धौ कुरुनन्दन ॥
यतते च ततो भूयः संसिद्धौ कुरुनन्दन ॥
tatra taṃ buddhi-saṃyogaṃ
labhate paurva-dehikam |
yatate ca tato bhūyaḥ
saṃsiddhau kuru-nandana ||
labhate paurva-dehikam |
yatate ca tato bhūyaḥ
saṃsiddhau kuru-nandana ||
There he regains the intellectual union accumulated in his former body, O joy of the Kurus, and strives yet again toward full perfection.
Spiritual intelligence is not reset at death but carried forward as a subliminal tendency (saṃskāra); the reborn yogi recognises the path intuitively and resumes where he left off — the soul's own memory of practice picks up the thread.
